San Antonio Dog Trainers
Angel Gutierrez
Hi!
My name is Angel. I am your next dog trainer for your beloved pup! I have called San Antonio my home for most of my life. I am married to a beautiful wife and have 3 beautiful daughters along with four furry dogs that are a part of our family.
I have had various careers in my path but by far I found my calling was working with dogs. I always had a fondness for dogs and how much they can take a huge piece of your heart. After watching some trainers work with dogs, I decided I wanted to dive into this field to learn all I could so I can be able to make someone else’s beloved dogs a better version of themselves and a well trained obedient member of society.
The process of taking on any dog with any issue and transforming them into their best versions is challenge for me but only using safety first and foremost. The reunion of the dogs with their owners or family and seeing the look on the owners face with joy when they see their dogs transformation for the better, that is what its all about for me. There is no better reward than this and all the hard work is well worth it.
I would love to be a part of your dogs journey into being their best versions of your family.
Alexis Gutierrez
Hi, future family! My name is Alexis, but I go by, “Lexie”
I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX! I am happily married with, 3 daughters and 4 dogs of my own! Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a passion for working with dogs. Although when I was younger I would just smother them and expect them to love me 😝
I started out at a local pet store as a trainer, which taught me a lot of behaviors, and what works for some dogs and what does not work for some dogs. After spending a couple years within them, I moved to working at a doggie daycare/boarding facility where I was quickly moved to the manager position for 4.5 years.
I briefly did kennel work/critical care at a local vet hospital where I found that I was not ok with helping animals in that way. My heart broke countless times. I know I had to get back into training one way or another! I found a local company here in SA, where I worked for 3 1/2 years. My knowledge grew tremendously! I’ve trained all sizes, many breeds, different behaviors, from over friendly to highly aggressive. As the months/years past I needed to learn and do more, I had the itch to learn, and explore what else dogs can do! I learned basic knowledge on tracking, service dog work, therapy dog work and so much more!
I love training dogs! It’s one of the most rewarding jobs hands down. Here in San Antonio the shelters are overwhelmed by the amount of homeless dogs, and a lot will end back in the shelter due to behavior issues. I’m here to help put a stop to you returning a dog to the shelter or to the breeder. I’ll give you all the tools you’ll need to be successful with your new fur family member. Don’t think your dog is untrainable! All dogs are trainable!
